This romantic Hammersley teacup and saucer creates a sense of luxury that was dominant in the Victorian era. The creamy white background has a raised pattern which makes it unusual.
Lily of the Valley is the birth flower for May. The fragrant white flowers are often associated with traditional feminine values such as purity and sweetness.
From 1972 through the 80s, Hammersley China was part of the Royal Worcester and Spode Group. Production continued up to 1988 when the Hammersley brand was sold to Aynsley China
Hammersley was originally part of the Prince of Wales Pottery from Longton, England. This was one of the many prestigious factories which made up the Staffordshire potteries. It was founded in 1872.
Measurements: The saucer is 5.75" in diameter. The cup is 3" high and is 3" from rim to rim.

Do not wash any of the china in the dishwasher. It may cause crazing if boiling water is poured directly into the cup. These are not made for microwave use either.
