The Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Company is the second oldest remaining English porcelain manufacturer. It is based in Derby, England and is particularly known for its high quality bone china. It has produced tableware and ornamental items since 1750.
This particular teacup and saucer was produced in 1911. Look closely and you will see the depth of the paint on the hand painted pieces. Derby has earned its stellar reputation.
This is partially hand painted with a generous amount of gold. It holds 4 fluid ounces. (Most newer teacups hold 6 ounces. Demitasse hold 2 ounces.) Therefore it is slightly smaller than most, but this is typical for antique cups.

Measurements: The saucer is 5.5" in diameter. The cup is 2.5" high and 3" from rim to rim.
