Whether it is afternoon tea or morning coffee, it is a wonderful way to relax.
Nature at its best is upon this charming Shelley bone china teapot. The pattern is called Woodlands, number 13348. The pale blue handle and finial along with the gold edges frame the scene perfectly.
The inside is lovely and clean. It has the traditional china straining holes inside at the base of the spout. It also has an air hole in the lid to prevent dripping and splashing when pouring tea. There are also two tip tabs on the under side of the lid to prevent the lid from falling off when the piece is in use.
Shelley became highly prized because they employed the best artisans of the day and used the most expensive materials available in their production. They became highly prized and still are extremely popular.

Measurements: The pot is 9.25" from spout tip to the outer edge of the handle. It is 5.5" wide and 5.5" tall. It holds 44 liquid ounces or 4.5 cups of liquid. It is considered an eight cup teapot.
This teaoot is in excellent condition. There are no cracks, chips or crazing. You may buy with confidence. We do not sell damaged items. There are a couple of tiny dots under the glaze that have surfaced after decades. This is common in the older clay even with Shelley. There is also a spot of roughness under the handle which is not visible. It too is original.
