An elegant and majestic teacup and saucer will always enhance flavor. The floral Paragon is very unusual. The pattern is called Golden Emblem. Usually it is only in white. Here the cup is both pink and white. The inside and footed pedestal are pink while the floral part and handle are white. The saucer is also a mix with a white center and pink floral rim. In many pictures, the pink is reflected upon the white of the cup making it look as though it is shades of pink.
Paragon Fine Bone China of England, with its double royal warranty from Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth, has produced a luscious guilded, footed cup and saucer that is fit for royalty. The awards were given for the workmanship and in appreciation of their service to the Royal family.
Paragon China Co Ltd was located at the Atlas Works in Longton, England, making them part of the Staffordshire potteries.
Measurements: The saucer is 5.75" in diameter. The teacup is 4" from rim to rim and is 2.25" high.

This antique teacup and saucer is in excellent condition with the exception of a couple of tiny dots, one on the saucer, one inside the cup. These occurred at the time of manufacture. They are under the glaze and common for teacups of this era. There are no cracks or chips, nor is there any crazing. You may buy with confidence.
