Large Shamrock Belleek Teapot, Shamrock Belleek, Black Mark Belleek, Shamrock Teapot, Basket Weave Teapot, Irish Teapot
Irish shamrocks dance across this delightful Belleek coffeepot with the third black mark. This is very difficult to find. It was made between 1926 and 1946.
Think morning tea with a scone, or a warm cup of Irish blend tea while reading your favorite novel.
This is the classic Belleek Teapot. It has a stylized twig handle, basketweave body and of course, hand painted shamrocks. There are two notices in the inner rim to allow the cover to be placed on top and then gently twisted. This keeps the lid from falling forward when one is pouring tea.
Measurements: It is 10.25" spout to handle. 6.5" wide and 4.25" high. It holds 4.5 cups of liquid.
The price also includes free US shipping and free insurance.
The small pottery village of Belleek in Fermanagh County, Ireland had local clay deposits the produced exceptionally translucent goods. It became known as Parian, a soft, mother of pearl glow that became associated with Belleek China.
The world took notice and since 1853, Belleek has been prized.
This Irish teapot is in excellent condition. Although we wish to sell, we prefer to have loyal, satisfied, repeat customers. We do this by fully describing every flaw that we see. Here there are two tiny kisses of black dots on the front left. They are imperfections in the clay and they have surfaced after the 90 or so years of its existence. There a couple of tea stains inside the pot too, but they do not show when in use. There are no cracks, chips or crazing. We do not sell damaged items. You may buy with confidence.

We no longer sell to China or the Middle East. Although the people are lovely, we have had too many delivery problems.
We ship within the continental US for free. For other areas, the order is sent via First Class International Mail with the US Post Office or with Global Shipping, a company that works with Etsy.
Of course, we are happy to work with large orders. Contact us through messages and explain your needs.
Do not wash any of the china in the dishwasher. It may cause crazing if boiling water is poured directly into the cup. These are not made for microwave use either.
We do not know the exact materials used in the china. We are selling them as decorative items.
We offer free gift wrapping on most items. It is mentioned in the listing.
