Royal Standard Bone China of England created this charming antique tea cup and saucer. The pattern name is Sunset. The flowers are highlighted by the gentle yellow teacup. Years ago, there was a charming custom of bringing a teacup to a home to indicate friendship. It is enjoying a revival today especially at housewarmings.
This elegant and beautiful antique tea cup was manufactured by the Royal Standard Fine Bone China company in England during the 1950's. This is a company that is an acknowledged leader in fine design. It was owned by the Chapmans Longton Ltd from the Albert Works, Longton, England, Staffordshire Potteries.
This vintage tea cup and saucer is in good condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing, but there is one tiny dark mark on the right of the saucer. There is another spot on the left. Both are under the glaze. They probably occurred during manufacture. We do not sell damaged goods. You may buy with confidence.
Measurements: The saucer is 5.75" in diameter. The cup is 3.5" from rim to rim and 3" high to the top of the handle.
