To show it to its best advantage, Saxe used a pretty white as the background with softly scalloped edges trimmed in green. This is hand painted.
This piece is breathtaking. It is elegant. The brush strokes are visible. Each rose is different. This is worthy of an elegant table.
The backstamp has a crown and crossed arrows with the name Saxe under it. We have not identified the company as yet. It is older because by law, the country of origin would have had to be identified if it was after 1930.
Measurements: The plate is 8.75" in diameter.
