When quality meets artistry, we have French Limoges.
These are made by Haviland Limoges of France. This is the famous Jean Pouyat using the JP over L mark.
The price is for the tea set consisting of the tea pot, sugar, creamer, two teacups, two saucers and a waste plate, often used for lemon slices.
A set like this is difficult to find. The colors are pastel.
Measurements: The teapot is 48 fluid ounces, which is usually called an 8 cup teapot. It is 8" tall, 5.5" wide and 8.5" from the tip of the spout to the outer edge of the handle. It sits upon a 3.5" fluted round base.
The sugar bowl is 6.5" from handle to outer handle. It is 6" high and 4" on a round base.
The creamer is 5" from spout to handle, 3.5" wide and 5" high.
The teacup holds 6 ounces. It is 3.5" from rim to rim, and 2" high.
The saucer is 5.75" in diameter.
The waste dish is 5" wide and 1" high.
These French porcelain plates are in excellent condition. There are tiny dots here and there from the impurities in the clay. These pieces are over 100 years old. That is common. We do not sell damaged items. You may buy with confidence.
