Aynsley Bone China of England created this elegant tall ship teacup and saucer. Often it is referred to as The Tall Ship cup. Yet the National Maritime Historical Society maintains that a tall ship is not actually any specific kind of vessel, but the term usually refers to large traditionally rigged sailing ships. This one majestically sails with a sunset just starting to appear in the background. Its image is reflected in the sea.
To show it to its best advantage, Aynsley used a deep rich cobalt blue, softly scalloped edges and hand trimmed gilt on the foot, handle and edges.
Aynsley, a highly popular manufacturer, was owned by John Aynsley and Sons Ltd. and produced their wares at the Portland Works in Longton, England.
The price includes Priority Mail shipping within the US, free gift wrapping and free shipping insurance. We do ship out of the US with a small extra charge.
Measurements: The saucer is 6" in diameter. The cup is 2.25" high, 3" high including the handle and 4" from rim to rim.

We no longer sell to China or the Middle East. Although the people are lovely, we have had too many delivery problems.
We ship within the continental US for free. For other areas, the order is sent via First Class International Mail with the US Post Office or with Global Shipping, a company that works with Etsy.
Of course, we are happy to work with large orders. Contact us through messages and explain your needs.
Do not wash any of the china in the dishwasher. It may cause crazing if boiling water is poured directly into the cup. These are not made for microwave use either.
We do not know the exact materials used in the china. We are selling them as decorative items.
We offer free gift wrapping on most items. It is mentioned in the listing.
