Remarkable for its ability to coordinate with a variety of table linens and settings, this blue earthenware teapot is elegant.
The inside is shiny with holes in the neck to help strain the tea. The outside is jasperware, the velvety finish. The details are superb.
Dudson Hanley was a noted manufacturer of earthenware at Hanley, England. The backstamp is from the Dudson Brothers issued in 1945.
Measurements: It is 6" high. From spout to handle is 9.5". It is 5.5" wide. It holds 32 ounces and is considered a 6 cup teapot.
This heavy English teapot is in excellent condition. There are no cracks, chips or crazing. We do not sell damaged items. You may buy with confidence. The base has had felt dots attached by its owner to protect her table finish. We have left them there for ease of use.
