Touches of soft pale yellow highlight this Irish porcelain Belleek tea cup and saucer. The inside of the cup is pale yellow.
The logo is the sixth green mark for the years between 1965 - 1980.
The small pottery village of Belleek in Fermanagh County, Ireland had local clay deposits the produced exceptionally translucent goods. It became known as Parian, a soft, mother of pearl glow that became associated with Belleek China. The world took notice and since 1853, Belleek has been prized.

This item arrived in perfect condition quite literally the day after I purchased it. It was wrapped beautifully and well enough that I was able to cart it in my carryon across the sea to its new home in Paris. Love!
