The small pottery village of Belleek in Fermanagh County, Ireland had local clay deposits the produced exceptionally translucent goods. It became known as Parian, a soft, mother of pearl glow that became associated with Belleek China. The world took notice and since 1853, Belleek has been prized.
Belleek has called this their Toy Panel Vase. It wears the 8th blue mark made between 1993 - 1997.
Measurements: It is 4" tall, 1.75" wide, 1.5" rim to rim and it sits upon a 1.25" square base.
This piece is unique because of the paperwork and signature. It has been signed by Siinead Flood, a Belleek executive. He even drew a shamrock on the bottom as well and the date.
At first, we were surprised that the gold band around the middle only appeared on three of the four sides, but we can't imagine that the man would sign a defective piece. This is small, well executed and trimmed in a light pink.
This bud vase is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. We do not sell damaged items. You may buy with confidence.
