Shelley Fine Bone China created this gorgeous tea cup and saucer in their Ripon shape using the Melody pattern. Because it is an all over design, it is referred to as chintz. The inside of the softly scalloped cup is a soft pastel yellow. It is not faded. The uneven yellow is just photography.
Shelley hired the finest artisans of the time and used the best materials available. They became the gold standard for English tea cups. They weigh less than other bone china because of the quality of the ingredients.
Yet, they are strong. Touching a piece brings to mind elegant teas. Begin your day with color, style and touches of gold.
Measurements: The saucer is 5.6" in diameter. The cup is 3.4" from rim to rim and 2.75" high.
