This romantic Hammersley tea cup and saucer creates a sense of luxury.
This English bone china teacup with its nod to romance was crafted in 1939. Asteraceae is the general term and then there are purple daisy and aster which are a part of the family. This is a outstanding English teacup in the world of florals. The pedestal shape, the handle and of course the flowers are beautifully crafted.
Hammersley was founded in 1932 in Longton, England. It is considered part of the famous Staffordshire potteries.
Measurements: The saucer is 5.6" in diameter. The pedestal cup is 2.5" high and is 3.75" from rim to rim.
This charming tea cup and saucer is in excellent condition. We wish to sell and we prefer to have loyal, satisfied, repeat customers. We do this by fully describing every flaw that we see. In this case, there is a faint smudge of purple paint under the glaze on the front. This is considered a flaw since it was created when the cup was born. It is faint. It appears darker than it is in the pictures because the photos are magnified. We would not have bought the item if it were obvious. However, it is there. Therefore we have reduced the price.
There are no chips, cracks, repairs or crazing. We do not sell damaged items. You may buy with confidence.
