This is a charming Belleek pig.
This cute little Irish figurine symbolizes the pig which represents fertility and wealth. Boars symbolize courage and strong warriors because they are strong, and dangerous.
The small pottery village of Belleek in Fermanagh County, Ireland had local clay deposits the produced exceptionally translucent goods. It became known as Parian, a soft, mother of pearl glow that became associated with Belleek China.
The world took notice and since 1853, Belleek has been prized.
This one is 3" long and 2" wide. It is 2.25" tall. Notice it is beige and yellow.

This is a great little pig. He is going to make a great gift for a friend who collects pigs. I knew the minute I saw it, that it was destined for my friend. She is going to be so excited. It's in perfect condition thanks to the extra effort April goes to when wrapping each item for shipping. I can always count on the order being timely and arriving in perfect condition.
