Sorry, this item has sold.

Irish shells dance across the basket weave Belleek tea cup. The smooth rim gives the special look of distinction.

This is ONLY the tea cup. There is NO saucer.

The small pottery village of Belleek in Fermanagh County, Ireland had local clay deposits the produced exceptionally translucent goods. It became known as Parian, a soft, mother of pearl glow that became associated with Belleek China.

The world took notice and since 1853, Belleek has been prized.

This pattern is called New Shell Tea Ware. It is an adaptation of Shell Tea Ware and Echinus Tea Ware designs. Please note that the interior of this cup is the creamy beige color, not the yellow. Also note that this handle has a very pale yellow coloring. This teacup has a softer presence of the yellow iridescence. There is some between the shells around the top but again, it is pale.

This is the green mark for the years between 1965 to 1980.

Measurements: The cup is 2.5" high and is 3.4" from rim to rim.

This Irish teacup is in excellent condition. Please note that we are only offering the cup. Although we wish to sell, we prefer to have loyal, satisfied, repeat customers. We do this by fully describing every flaw that we see. We do not sell damaged items. There are no cracks, chips or crazing. You may buy with confidence.
