Notice the handle and footed cup in this antique set. This is the Gainsborough shape by Shelley Fine Bone China. They are considered by many to be the gold standard of teacups. The company hired the finest artisans and used the most expensive materials available for their productions.
This dramatic teacup and saucer has a fruit centre with apples, grapes and leaves on an ivory background inside the cup. The ivory is close to being a pale golden yellow. The black is intact without white spots. In the pictures, there are reflections of light, but no loss of paint.
Measurements: The saucer is 5.75" in diameter. The cup is 2.5" high and 4" in diameter.
This set is in excellent condition. There is no crazing, cracks or chips. We do not sell damaged goods. You may buy with confidence.
