High society delighted in the unusual and elegant. Vintage clothing has become a source for glamorous winter weddings.
This particular light brown feather jacket is lovely and unique. It moves with the person. The first question usually asked is, "What kind of fur is that?" It is NOT fur. It does look like fur at first glance, but upon further study, one realizes that it is lightweight and fascinating.
What kind of feathers? Marabou? We don't know.
There are short sleeves making it look like a stole. It can be worn without the need to balance it on the shoulders.
The lining is a golden satin. It is lovely and not nearly as shiny as the picture would suggest. Satin reflects light and the picture was impossible to get without excessive shine. There are no holes, tears or stains. There was a restitching at one armhole.
The label says AVMERICH. There is also a tiny tag inside that says XL, but we strongly feel it is smaller than that. It would probably fit closer to a size Small, maybe a Medium. Compare the measurements to something that you own to get a more accurate size. We are not experts at sizing. We are not guaranteeing any size. It is up to you to do the comparison.
In the back, from the neck seam to the bottom of the jacket, it measures 15.5" The are no pockets. From the collar seam, across the shoulder to the bottom side is 21". (This is like measuring a sleeve.) The neck seam to the shoulder seam is 6".
The collar is 4.5" at its deepest. It is lined with satin as well. We turned it up a bit in one of the last pictures so that you could see it. "Armhole to armhole" in the back is about 18.5"
This jacket is in excellent condition. It is clean, soft and supple. There are no tears (except for the repair that we mentioned), wear spots or stains. Although we wish to sell, we prefer to have loyal, satisfied, repeat customers. We do this by fully describing every flaw that we see. You may buy with confidence.
