This particular natural brown fur coat is great fun. There is leather under the color (so that it can be worn up) as well as side sections in leather. It has a leather belt that goes through side openings. It has two front pockets.
It is soft and supple. The fur is clean and does not have odors. It has been stored with a furrier every year. Leather was used on the sides to give a slimming appearance.
The lining is in excellent condition. The color stripes are made of a satin taffeta material. There are no holes, rips or tears.
There is one fur wear spot on the right elbow. It can be seen in the picture. Otherwise the fur is in very good condition without holes, rips or tears.
From the collar seam in back to the back hem, the coat measures 32.5" The vertical front pockets are 6" long. From the collar seam to the sleeve edge (over the shoulder and down), it measures 27". From the mid armhole across the back to the other armhole, it is 21". From should seam to the cuff is 23."
The mannequin is quite tall. On a person who is 5' 1", the length is just below the knee. It becomes a coat versus a jacket on a taller lady.
This appears to be a medium size. It would probably fit from a size 10 to a size 12, maybe even an 8 with a sweater underneath. Please read the measurements and compare them to one of your coats. We are not experts at sizing.
This was purchased from an estate.
This fur is in very good condition. There are no rips, tears or bald spots. Even the cuffs show little wear. There is an embroidered set of initials, DKM. One could cover that with sewn on initial patches if desired.
The leather belt is the only closure.
NOTE: because of the weight of the coat when packed, it cannot be sent to Europe. The cost is prohibitive. It will only be shipped to the US and Canada.
