This sumptuous, hand painted candy dish or serving piece is elegant.
This porcelain piece is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. You may buy with confidence.
In 1883, in response to the exciting developments happening all around them, four prominent ceramic decorators registered the famous Dresden blue crown mark, and the widely popular dresden style was born. Some of these are Meissen china blanks.
The Dresden style were the first to lavishly use hand painted flowers. The detail and delicacy of the flowers on this piece is so lovely.
Crown Dresden is porcelain produced by outside decorator Helena Wolfsohn, in Dresden in the 1870s. After a law suit, she dropped the Meissen mark and starting using the crown as her signature.
Measurements: This majestic dish is 6.5" from the outer handle to the edge. It is 5.75" wide and 2.3" high.
