Remember discovering the sweet faces of violets?
Shelley Fine English Bone China Company created this elegant Dainty style cup and saucer. The pattern is called Violets, number 13821. This lovely tea set has soft lilac handle to complete the design.
Shelley hired the best artisans of their day and used the most expensive materials available. They became the most sought after cups and saucers in England. This backstamp was first issued in 1938 and used until 1966.
Measurements in inches and centimeters: The saucer is 5.75" (14.5 cm) in diameter. The cup is 2.4" (6 cm) high and 3.5" (9 cm) from rim to rim.
This tea cup and saucer is in excellent vintage condition. Although we wish to sell, we prefer to have loyal, satisfied, repeat customers. We do not sell damaged wares. You may buy with confidence.

We no longer sell to China or the Middle East. Although the people are lovely, we have had too many delivery problems.
We ship within the continental US for free. For other areas, the order is sent via First Class International Mail with the US Post Office or with Global Shipping, a company that works with Etsy.
Of course, we are happy to work with large orders. Contact us through messages and explain your needs.
Do not wash any of the china in the dishwasher. It may cause crazing if boiling water is poured directly into the cup. These are not made for microwave use either.
We do not know the exact materials used in the china. We are selling them as decorative items.
We offer free gift wrapping on most items. It is mentioned in the listing.
