Breathtaking translucent cobalt blue became the canvas for the heavy sterling silver overlay of the Rockwell Silver Company.
Egyptian revival designs flourished in the 1920s. Curtiss and Lucien Rockwell bought blanks from Heisey, Jeannette, Cambridge and others. Then they applied their sterling silver designs. This vase is one of the best examples of the Art Deco era.
There is a straw mark on the glass on the back from manufacture. See picture four. It is not damage, but rather it was part of the creative process. The glass was drying upon straw.
Measurements in inches and centimeters: It is 6" (15.5 cm) tall and 2.5" square at the base.
