Crown Dorset, famous for its teapots, also made unusual square teacups and saucers in fine bone china. This is one of their pretty ones. It has four feet, and a design molded into the porcelain. It is easy to use and a conversation piece as well.
Crown Dorset Fine Bone China was a company that distributed fine china from 1970 to 1990. The company was known for its bone china porcelain and also produced a fine line of Staffordshire dinnerware under the name Crown Staffordshire China. Bone china is a type of vitreous, translucent pottery made from bone ash, feldspathic material, and kaolin5.
Measurements: The saucer is 6" in diameter. The teacup is 3" high. Including the handle, it is 3.5" high. The opening is 3.5" from rim to rim.
This duo is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. We do not sell damaged wares. You may buy with confidence.
