Joyously use these exquisitely hand painted M. Redon hand painted Limoges boxes.
These Victorian pieces were produced in France between 1891 and 1896.
It is unusual to locate two matching vanity items. One has a soap holder inside it as well. The other has two ridges to hold makeup brushes if desired.
The price includes free shipping within the US and free shipping insurance.
The smaller one is 5 " long, 3.5" wide and 4" high including the gold handle. This one has the soap platform. The other is 7.75" long, 3.5" wide and 4" high. The quantity of 1 means one set contained the two boxes, two covers and soap insert.
This porcelain is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There is some wear on the gold handles, but it is to be expected when items are over 125 years old. We do not sell damaged items. There are a couple of tiny indentations that occurred when being made. You may buy with confidence.
