High society delighted in furs. The runways are now promoting fur again.
This stunning piece is a luxurious blond mink and leather jacket. Yes, it is real fur. There are two front 5" long pockets. There is leather also under the collar if you chose to stand it up.
It was purchased from Kennedy's.
Despite its association with Boston, Kennedy’s has nothing to do with the political Kennedy family. It was actually a store that initially specialized in boy's and men's attire before expanding to offer women's clothing in the 1930s. For the next few decades, Kennedy’s thrived, but the company began to flounder in the 1980s, closing its stores, including the main location at the intersection of Summer and Hawley Streets.
The jacket has a beige fabric lining. From the collar seam to the hem in back, it is 30.5". This is probably a medium. The sleeve is 24" long.
The fur is in excellent condition.
The lining too is in good condition. There are no tears or fading. There are initials inside that can be clipped off to remove them.
This appears to be a medium size. It would probably fit from a size 8 to a size 10, maybe 12. Please read the measurements. We are not experts at sizing. It is suggested that you compare measurements from one of your coats to our measurements to gauge the fit.
This piece was obtained from a home where it has been well cared for. It is in excellent condition. The fur is soft and supple.
