High society delighted in furs. The runways are now promoting fur again.
This particular brown mink coat was top of the line in its day. There is an embroidered name inside, but it could be covered up by purchasing patch initials and hand stitching them over it. There is fur under the color (so that it can be worn up) and has two front pockets. There are two inside pockets as well.
This is a luxurious fur made of medium brown mink. It was made by Turansky Furs of Hartford, Connecticut. Emil Turansky owned and operated his fur salon in Hartford, CT in the 1960’s.
Emil was born 1921 in Willimantic, CT and became a captain and pilot in the U.S. 8th Army Air Corps serving in World War II.
There are no odors. From the collar seam in back to the back hem, the coat measures 35.5." The two front pockets are 5" long. From the shoulder seam to the cuff, the sleeve measures 24". From the armhole across the back to the other armhole, it is 25". The lady wearing it is 5' 1''. Read the measurements to be sure of your size.
This appears to be size 14. Please read the measurements and compare them to one of your coats. We are not experts at sizing. This is too large for our model but the coat can be easily seen.
This fur is in excellent condition. It is clean, soft and supple. There are no tears, wear spots or stains in the fur. There is one wear spot just above the label. It was stored yearly with a furrier.
The lining is a brocade type of satin. It too is in lovely condition and blends with the fur.
