High society delighted in furs. The runways are now promoting fur again.
This particular coat is great fun. This is a black velvet piece or short coat with authentic black lamb trim on the collar and pockets.
It is soft and supple. Lamb does not shed. The lamb is black. It only looks lighter in the pictures.
The black lining is in excellent condition. Even the underarms are spotless. There are no tears or stains.
From the collar seam in back to the back hem, the coat measures 32". The two horizontal front pockets are 6" deep and 6.5" wide.
From the shoulder seam to the cuff is 23".
From the mid armhole across the back to the other armhole, it is 22". The mouton decoration across the back is 4" deep and 21" long.
Please read the measurements and compare them to one of your coats. We are not experts at sizing.

This fur is in very good condition. There are no rips, tears or bald spots. The last two pictures show the collar and the cuffs. As you can see, there is little if any signs of wear.
There are buttons for closure...five of them. Originally there were six.
The lining is a lovely black satin.
