Aynsley Bone China of England has become famous for their signed designs. The best of these was Joseph A Bailey. This is a beautiful raspberry color.
Bailey was well-known for painting flower patterns. Designs painted by Bailey were done with a particular style and flourish and can be picked out from across a room by experienced Aynsley collectors. Like his counterparts, very little is known about Joseph Bailey except that he was employed by Aynsley between 1937 and 1974. The pink rose, sometimes referred to as a cabbage rose, is particularly characteristic of Bailey’s work. This is signed on the both the saucer and the cup.
Aynsley Bone China of England was produced by the John Aynsley and Sons Ltd at Portland Works in Longton, England. They were part of the Staffordshire Potteries.
The price includes the teacup and saucer as well as free US shipping, free gift wrapping and free shipping insurance. Worldwide shipping is $20.
Measurements: The saucer is 5.5" in diameter. The cup is 3.75" from rim to rim and sits 2.25" high upon an elegant pedestal base. Including the handle, it is 2.75" high.
This antique china is in excellent condition. There are no cracks, stains, chips or crazing. We do not sell damaged items. You may buy with confidence. There are a couple of very tiny white specks on the saucer. They occurred during manufacture.
