This is a Belleek vase called an owl spill. Would you enjoy a wise owl with an Irish heart?
What is a spill vase? It is a cylindrical container which is made to hold porcelain, pottery, brass or even paper. As a point of interest, Belleek also made an owl figurine which is smaller.
The small pottery village of Belleek in Fermanagh County, Ireland had local clay deposits the produced exceptionally translucent goods. It became known as Parian, a soft, mother of pearl glow that became associated with Belleek China.
The world took notice and since 1853, Belleek has been prized. This piece has their gold logo which means it was made 1980 and 1993.
This owl spill is 3" long and 3.5" wide. It is 8.5" tall. Notice it is beige and yellow.
This Irish vase is in excellent condition. There are no cracks, chips or crazing. We do not sell damaged items. You may buy with confidence.
