Belleek of Ireland adroitly used daisies around the top of this vase in cream. Then they used their beloved shamrocks to decorate the base. They call this piece the Daisy Spill.
What is a spill? An Irish spill is a vase. This one has its seventh gold logo on the bottom that means it was produced between 1980 and 1993.
The small pottery village of Belleek in Fermanagh County, Ireland had local clay deposits the produced exceptionally translucent goods. It became known as Parian, a soft, mother of pearl glow that became associated with Belleek China. The world took notice and since 1853, Belleek has been prized.
All the Belleek marks contain the Irish wolfhound, the Devenish Round Tower, the Irish harp and the touch of Irish shamrocks on each end. This lovely Parian ware is known for its translucency and quality.
Measurements: It is 5.5" high. It is 3" from rim to rim and 3.25" wide.
The price also includes free US shipping and free insurance.
