This hand painted teacup and saucer by Schumann of Bavaria is gorgeous. The Dresdner Art China is a floral design featuring a daffodil and gold laurels which frame other blossoms as well.

The backstamp is that of the lion usually found on Dresden. It was made from 1918 to 1929. The company was originally founded in 1881 by Henrick and Christiana Schumann. In 1892, when Carl, their son, turned 21, it was taken over by him and renamed, Carl Schumann and Company.
It stayed in the family until it was sold to investors in 1990. It closed in 1994. Of course, the backstamp changed over the years.

Measurements: The saucer is 6" in diameter. The footed cup is 2.5" high and 4" from rim to rim.
