Royal Tara is a brand of fine bone china that originated in Belleek, Ireland, in the late 1940s. It was named after the Hill of Tara, an ancient site in Ireland that was once the seat of the High Kings of Ireland. The brand was founded by George Delaney, who had previously worked for Belleek Pottery and later set up his own business in Fermanagh. He partnered with a local businessman named Ernest Gribbon, and together they established the Royal Tara China company.
