Bring romance to your entertaining with this gold trimmed Bavarian teacup and saucer. It has the shield and says Germany.
The backstamp is that of the lion usually found on Dresden. It was made from 1955 to 1963. The company was originally founded in 1881 by Henrick and Christiana Schumann. In 1892, when Carl, their son, turned 21, it was taken over by him and renamed, Carl Schumann and Company.
It stayed in the family until it was sold to investors in 1990. It closed in 1994. Of course, the backstamp changed over the years.

Measurements: The saucer is 6" in diameter. The cup is 2.4" high and 4.25" from rim to rim.
This German cup and saucer is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. We do not sell damaged items. You may buy with confidence.
