This lovely teacup proudly wears one of the Harry Wheatcroft roses. It is hand painted.
Harry Wheatcroft (1898–1977) was a famous English rose grower. This teacup and saucer is decorated with one of six world famous roses that were produced by him. The pattern is called Mme Charles Sauvage.
Paragon Fine Bone China, who holds a warrant from Queen Elizabeth for its quality, has created this exceptional large yellow rose teacup and saucer. The backstamp indicates that it was made between 1958 and 1963. This series became very popular because of the artistry and the appreciation of the roses.
Measurements: The saucer is 5.5" in diameter. The cup is 3" high and 3.5" from rim to rim.
