Krister Porzellan-Manufaktur was established in 1831 by Carl Franz Krister. Krister's idea to achieve success was imitating Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur (KPM) in Berlin. That's why marks of the Waldenburg factory are similar to marks of the factory from Berlin. It was also a reason of quality that let Krister succeed. Already in 1850s the factory was one of leading European porcelain manufacturers. In 1852 and 1867 Krister factory got awards in the International Exposition in Paris.
This beautiful porcelain set wears the R/KPM Krister Germany mark. In 1952 - 1965, it was KPM Krister Germany mark used by the Waldenburg factory. They were the legal succesor operating in Rhineland-Palatinate.
Cascading lined leaves rest on this porcelain with a modernistic design. This set contains a teapot, creamer, sugar bowl, six cups, six saucers and six plates.
Measurements: The sugar bowl is 3" high and 4.25" wide. The creamer is 2.75" high and 4" wide. It is 6" from the spout to the outer edge of the handle. The cup is 2" high and 4" from rim to rim. The saucer is 5.9" in diameter. The plate is 7.6" in diameter.
The teapot is 11.5" from the tip of the spout to the outer edge of the handle. It is 4.5" high and 7.5" wide. It holds 36 liquid ounces or 4 1/2 cups of fluid. That translates to a six cup teapot.
This Krister set is in excellent condition. There are no cracks, chips or crazing. We do not sell damaged items. You may buy with confidence.

Do not wash any of the china in the dishwasher. It may cause crazing if boiling water is poured directly into the cup. These are not made for microwave use either.
