The technique is to create two layers of glass, in this case amethyst over clear. The circles, fans and straight lines were cut upon the royal purple until the clear under glass was visible.
Of course, to fully develop interest, the same procedure was done to create the stopper.
This is a stunning decanter.
Because of its heavy weight, we are not able to offer it to our friends outside of the continental US.

Fantastic transaction!
