Luxurious, translucent, French Haviland Limoges graces the table. Its history is regal and dignified.
A mixture of French clay containing kaolin from the Limoges region of France created the light but strong teacup and saucer.
This antique teacup and saucer with its soft pink roses, green vines and delicate gold trim was imported by the prestigious Van Heusen Charles Co. The shop was a dealer in fine china, glass, earthen ware, kerosene goods, gas fixtures and more. The esteemed business was in Marble Hall, at 468 and 470 Broadway, Albany, New York.
Marble Hall has not survived, but the Van Heusen family created two fine Albany buildings that still stand. The home built for their son Charles in 1900 at 411 State Street is now home to the Rockefeller Institute of Government.
It is said that the younger Charles was friends with Theodore Roosevelt, and that he supplied china to the White House, and that he somehow had a hand in the final version of the Great Seal of the United States.
The price includes free shipping within the US, free gift wrapping and free shipping insurance. Worldwide shipping is $14.
Measurements: The saucer is 6" in diameter. The cup is 1.75" high and 4.1" from rim to rim.

Do not wash any of the china in the dishwasher. It may cause crazing if boiling water is poured directly into the cup. These are not made for microwave use either.
We do not know the exact materials used in the china. We are selling them as decorative items.
We offer free gift wrapping on most items. It is mentioned in the listing.
