Belleek made this stunning teacup and saucer expressly for Tiffany and Co.
The elegant company used to order special pieces and would sell them exclusively. Tiffany is known for quality and this was perfect for their taste.
Ott & Brewer in Trenton, NJ started making American Belleek in 1882. This teacup and saucer wears the red mark which means it was made between 1885-1890. The company brought over Bromley, from Ireland who later developed Irish Belleek, in 1882. They started producing some of the Irish patterns by 1885. They did several patterns for Tiffany's.
When this was first seen, it appeared to be Belleek cream, but when photographed in the studio, the very pale yellow was apparent. The pieces are quite light weight, delicate and lovely. They created a design on the handle too.
The price includes free Priority Mail shipping within the US as well as free gift wrapping and free shipping insurance. We ship worldwide with an added $14 shipping charge.
Measurements: The saucer is 5.25" in diameter. The cup is 1.75" high and 3.4" from rim to rim. The teacup holds 4.5 fluid ounces versus the usual 6 ounces of today's cups. It is slightly smaller but was considered standard for its time. They are NOT demitasse which only holds 2 ounces.
This special teacup and saucer is in excellent condition. There are no cracks, chips, crazing or repairs. There is slight gold wear on the cup rim. We do not sell damaged wares. You may buy with confidence.

Do not wash any of the china in the dishwasher. It may cause crazing if boiling water is poured directly into the cup. These are not made for microwave use either.
We do not know the exact materials used in the china. We are selling them as decorative items.
We offer free gift wrapping on most items. It is mentioned in the listing.
