Royal Doulton Teacups have always been used in the finest homes. The Glamis Thistle came into being after it inspired this pattern since it grew outside the home of Queen Elizabeth in 1938. The pattern was discontinued around 1961.
P Curnock appears on the pieces. He became famous as a floral artist for them.
Percy Curnock was probably Doulton’s longest serving artist, entering the factory in 1885 and retiring in 1954. For this pattern, the design is applied as a color lithograph rather than an original ceramic painting.
Enjoy a taste of the sweet life with this charming Royal Doulton teacup and saucer.

Do not wash any of the china in the dishwasher. It may cause crazing if boiling water is poured directly into the cup. These are not made for microwave use either.
