AB Jones China bought out Grafton and became ABJ Grafton China of England. They produced this shapely, charming tea cup and saucer. The handle has a fascinating shape, typical of the Art Deco period.
This backstamp was used in 1935.
Measurements: The saucer is 5.5" in diameter. The cup is 2.9" high and 3.5" from rim to rim.
This historical teacup and saucer is in good condition. There are no chips, cracks, stains or crazing. There is wear to the gold on the rim. It is considered a flaw. There are a few dark specks under the glaze. This is from the time of manufacture. However, we have lowered the price because of it. We do not sell damaged items. You may buy with confidence.
